Amsterdam Herengracht

My daily morning walk along the city's canals before starting work is a routine.
I always stand on the west side of the Herengracht canal and gaze at these two historic buildings.
For years I have been observing them.
I always make a mental cast with the walkers and cyclists passing by.
I get bored very easily.
But I don't stop standing in the same spot almost every morning.
I finally pick up the camera only when I saw this couple dressed in the colors of the facades.
They're lovely, all four of them together.
I think they did it just for me.
They sent me a little sign that I couldn't translate at the time.
Four months later I moved into a historic building almost behind these two.
